How to package and distribute ABAP code?

I would like to package and distribute a set of function modules and reports. The code is supposed to be downloaded through the net and installed on other systems as automatically as possible. Since it includes function modules, objects and screens it is not an option to just copy&paste the report with SE38. What are the available alternatives for someone that wants to be a vendor of some ABAP functionality?
